In Awareness Through Movement we work in guided lessons with the emphasis on independent process, always finding our own pace.
The workshops aim to be as accessible and inclusive as possible - an opportunity to take some time and space to explore. No particular training is necessary, just an interest in discovering through your own movement experience - whether your focus is to inform your own work or to find more ease and spontaneity in everyday actions.

  • Bring a mat and/or blanket for floor work and warm clothes.

Fiona Wright has a workshop approach that is influenced by many somatic practices and experiential anatomy, especially Feldenkrais Method and the process of learning found in Awareness Through Movement, of which she is now an authorised practitioner.
One of her main teachers for many years has been Shelagh O'Neill:

  1. After attending an earlier set of workshops with Fiona I have no hesitation in recommending these. I will not be getting a discount for saying this and will be going myself.

A word of warning: the floor is bare wood so please don't disregard the invitation to bring a blanket or mat.
