Simone Kenyon and Fiona Wright are independent artists with shared backgrounds in performance and visual arts. They both have many years of experience between them in facilitating groups and collaborative work and are influenced by many somatic practices such as Awareness Through Movement (Feldenkrais Method).

The main focus will be on walking within the surrounding area and along the local Pembrokeshire coast. This will be combined with sessions about finding easier movement and increased awareness of how we sense ourselves and our dynamic stability in gravity - whether this is in our everyday movement, performance work or general exercise.

We will meet each day as a group of up to ten people participating together on led walks and scheduled workshop time. Sessions on movement and awareness will take place in the nearby Manorbier community centre which will also be available as an indoor base.
No particular training or level of fitness is necessary, just a real interest in being outdoors and  walking. Each person can find their own way in terms of balancing energy and resting as they most need as the weekend unfolds.
Things to bring will include a mat, blanket, materials for writing/drawing and of course a range of clothes for outdoors and indoors for the variety of weather that might accompany us!

There will also be time for individual space to relax, drift and explore. The coast offers some amazing beaches for swimming and relaxing with Skrinkle Haven and Church Doors beaches just minutes away from the camp site.

Participants feedback from last year:

Your friendly, calm and supportive leadership style greatly contributed to really enjoyable and
informative weekend.

I felt everything was working together and the whole experience became the workshop (Manorbier,
eating talking, lying etc).
You just gave everything space to be and that really worked for me and I will really cherish that and
take that with me in the future things I do.

There was a good mix of movement, walking, beach activity for the weekend and it was a beautiful
place to do it in.
